Mr. Cunningham taught at Mumford High School in Detroit from 2014-2019 before joining Huron. The majority of his time at Mumford was spent teaching Algebra I. Mr. Cunningham was always torn between writing and teaching, and during his time as a sportswriter was inspired by the many teachers and coaches he wrote stories about who were making a positive impact in the community.
