Our day begins with Choice Time. Children choose an activity to explore with a partner. Free play promotes creativity and imagination, problem solving abilities and social skills. Children take ownership by following their own games and guidelines. This opportunity to create and use imagination is important for cognitive development. Using materials such as legos and playdough allows children to strengthen fine motor muscles needed for writing.
